Hysteroscopy is the inspection of the uterine cavity by endoscopy with access through the cervix. It allows for the diagnosis of intrauterine pathology and serves as a method for surgical intervention (operative hysteroscopy)
Hysteroscopy is the process of viewing the inside of uterus along with cervical canal. It is done by using a hysteroscope which is a narrow with camera and light at end. It is passed through vagina and ctelescope ervix which helps in detecting the problems in uterus. The fertility expert views the images sent to the monitor to diagnose the problems.
A Hysteroscopy is used to diagnose symptoms, such as, heavy periods, repeated miscarriages, unusual vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, etc. It is also used in treatment of problems such as removing fibroids, polyps, displaced intrauterine devices (IUDs) and intrauterine adhesions. It is also used for surgical sterilization and guides the fertility expert to localize on area of endometrial biopsy.
A hysteroscopy is a way for the doctor to look at the lining of your uterus using a thin viewing tool called a hysteroscope. The tip of the hysteroscope is inserted into your vagina and gently moved through the cervix into the uterus. The hysteroscope has a light and camera hooked to it to the view the lining (endometrium) on a video screen.
